Yemisi Jenkins MBE

Biography

Yemisi is a career civil servant in UK Civil Service (CS), spanning over 21 years in operational and strategic roles.

She is very passionate about EDI and has contributed effectively to addressing issues across CS and the Diaspora community. 

She was awarded an MBE for Staff Wellbeing at work. Yemisi is the Chair and Director of the British Nigerian Safeguarding Consortium (BNSC) and immediate past president of the Association of British Nigerian Law Enforcement (ABLE) Officers.
She is Non-Executive Director at Genius Within an organisation that believes that effective change can only be achieved when neurodiversity is at the D&I table.

Dr Amina Aminu Dorayi

Biography

Dr. Amina Aminu Dorayi is a physician and public health professional with 17 years’ extensive experience in designing and managing health systems and sustainable development programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of women, girls and communities.

She is currently the Nigeria Country Director at Pathfinder International where she provides overall strategic leadership and oversees the programmatic and operational management of Pathfinder activities in Nigeria.

Prior to this role, Dr. Amina Aminu served as a Technical Director at the USAID-funded Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector Plus (SHOPS Plus) project and a Senior Technical Advisor for Abt Associates. She was also the Associate Deputy National Program Manager and Director of Service Delivery at the DFID-funded Partnership for Transforming Health Systems Phase II (PATHS2) project.

Dr. Amina served as the Employee Advisory Committee (EAC) Representative for the Africa Region of Abt Associates. She is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria and the American Public Health Association. Dr Amina is also an Independent Review Panel member for the Internet Society Foundation, where she reviews, rates and recommends funding applications for the foundation.

Dr. Habeeb Salami

Biography

Dr. Salami is a medical doctor with a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology and a strong bias for preventive and social medicine.

He had his medical degree (MBBS) and MPH from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and membership of the West African College of Surgeons (faculty of Obstetrics & Gynecology).

He also has a Certificate in Project Management (CPM) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and a Certificate in Design, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of International Health Programs (CDIME) from the Boston University School of Public Health, Massachusetts, USA.

He has gathered extensive hands-on experience, over 15 years, in project management, conceptualization and implementation of interventions aimed at enhancing health status, and monitoring and evaluation of health programs, and over 10 years of clinical practice as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He was a member of the Core Team (and Team Leader to Song Local government area) that conducted the Adamawa State Integrated Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Needs Assessment survey; the project coordinator for Developing Strategic Plans for Federal Tertiary Health Institutions in the South-East and South-South zones of the Country by the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria. He also provided technical assistant to the National Primary Health Care Development Agency on the Global Fund Round 8 AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria health facility assessment for Health Systems Strengthening, and Consultant to the Taraba State Health Systems Development Project II End of project assessment.

Biography

Kgobati is Managing Partner and Executive Coach at CI Coaching, an Africa-based leadership development company focusing on equipping leaders and teams to lead more effectively – through Science.

Her experience and flexibility in working at Board, Executive and Management levels enables her to facilitate greater synergy and alignment between the governance, leadership and execution levels of organizations, thus optimising organisational performance.

Biography

Amina Oyagbola is a Corporate director and versatile business leader, a former Human Resources and Corporate Services Executive at MTN Nigeria Communications Plc.

With over 35 years of experience working in key sectors of the economy including, legal consulting, banking and finance, oil and gas, telecommunications and business administration.

She is the managing consultant of AKMS Consulting, a partner at Oyagbola Chambers, Founder and Chairperson of WISCAR (Women In Successful Careers- a leadership and structured mentoring network for professional women).

She is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD UK, Fellow, Institute of Directors (IoD), a Certified Ethics Officer, Former Chair and fellow, Africa Leadership Initiative- West Africa and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She is a Chevening Scholar and 2019 recipient of the prestigious HR People Magazine, Lifetime Achievement Award and ALTON award for her contribution to the Telecommunications Sector in Nigeria.

She is a strategic business adviser, legal and HR consultant, transformation expert and stakeholder manager, adept at creating innovative solutions to complex business problems and re-engineering company processes to improve the overall business performance of organisations. Adams Tariah

Biography

Ms. Tariah Adams is a voice for women and girls at global and national levels. Ms Adams’ long-standing belief that our voices are tools that can drive change at system, community and individual levels has informed her career life.

She believes that creating spaces for the voices of women and girls will drive change in health care service delivery. Ms. Adams, is the  Senior Communication & Advocacy Officer for WRA Nigeria where she takes the lead in strategic communication and is involved in nearly every aspect of their work to engage citizens, business leaders, media and government for community-level and system-wide change for reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health(RMNCAH) in Nigeria.

She has a first degree in public administration, a master’s degree in society and development, and over one decade of work experience in broadcast journalism and public health communication and advocacy. Ms. Adams is adept at identifying stories that persuade decisions makers to drive social accountability processes across communities. She works directly with the citizens, amplifying their voices and highlighting the specific actions that should be taken by the government to embrace citizen-led accountability for Sexual Reproductive Health Services.

Ms Adams, has spoken on many national and international platforms including the United Nations General Assembly in New York, The World Health Assembly in Geneva advocating for the rights of women and girls.
